The Alabama concert at Cheyenne Frontier Days was a wonderful throwback to a day gone by. The weather was perfect and the band was spot on, the harmonies great. Opening with "If You're Gonna Play in Texas" Alabama rocked the house right out of the get-go with their distinct musical sound and timeless classics that everybody is familiar with. It's those songs that demonstrates why they are in the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They are Country Royalty!
Jeff Cook
Alabama has a lot of fans even after 40 years.
With Randy Owen, still jumping and dancing around on stage, Jeff Cook still rockin' on his guitar and the fiddle and Teddy Gentry still strumming his bass guitar it's not hard to understand why!
They never disappoint. They are a bunch of good ole' country boys that have stayed true to themselves and their fans over the years. They are a classic country band with great voices, perfect harmonies and so many wonderful songs including 21 #1 Hits.
They provided the crowd some good clean down-home music. No smoke and mirrors. They were interactive with the crowd, engaging the audience with singalongs and seemed to be having as much fun as the fans. At one point Randy reached out and caught a fans cowboy hat. He continued to wear it for a while before returning it.
Teddy Gentry
"Southern Drawl" their first album of original material in 14 years is set for a September 18th release date and fans can't wait. Here is a musical group that has stood the test of time and prove they have what it takes to entertain and put on a great show with just their music.
Legendary performers in a memorable show. Great Job Alabama!
