Country music duo composed of singers/songwriters Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney (AKA Dan +Shay) showed off their talents as they opened up for Thomas Rhett's Home Town Tour. What impressed me from the get go was that they have an instant appeal. You can't help but like them. They’re an energetic duo that aim to please and judging by the loud cheers, smiling faces and massive singalongs they did just that. The duo released two albums - Where It All began released in 2013 and Obsessed the second studio album released June 3, 2016. Both albums produced several crowd favorite songs reaching the top of the country charts.
Giving their fans plenty of reasons to smile.
the hit-making duo showed off their country, pop and surprisingly a rock ‘n’ roll side - crushing covers from Bon Jovi and The Killers!
Their setlist included audience favorites and a little bit more... The hit song "From the Ground Up" is meaningful and profound. Truly a special song about unwavering commitment to family that reasonated with fans young and old alike. Performing with effortless vocals, strong lyrics and memorable melodies we were treated to:
All Nighter,
Nothin' Like You,,
Stop Drop + Roll
You Give Love a Bad Name
(Bon Jovi cover),
Road Trippin,
Show You Off,
From the Ground Up,
I Like the Sound of That
(Rascal Flatts cover),
Lately,
How Not To,
Mr. Brightside
(The Killers cover),
19 You + Me
Throughout the course of the night the band appeared to be enjoying themselves as much as their fans. The music, the harmonies, the awesome guitar licks and the energy was simply frantastic. They are the real deal!
It's only a matter of time before Dan + Shay become household names.
