With roots dating to the late 70s, Foreigner is known for songs that are now staples of classic rock radio, among them “Urgent” and “Cold
As Ice.” When the band get on a stage, they fill the room and all is rock and roll. Those radio favorites “Jukebox Hero,” “Waiting For A girl Like You’, “Dirty White Boy,” and many more typically pack huge choruses, spotlighting lead singer Kelly Hansen and the backing voices of his band mates, all on top of their game. Their catalog is so big, and so overly packed with such great songs, not to mention giant hits that the audience gets a chance to rock out and reminisce to some of the most recognizable songs of the past few decades.
What you need to know... They hit the stage running with "Dirty White Boy" then rolled straight into "Head Games" and then "Cold As Ice" with frontman Kelly Hansen jumping into the crowd for a few selfies. Next up they slowed it down with a crowd favorite "Waiting For A Girl Like You" which had eveyone swaying on their feet. Kelly reminensced a bit about his days of living in Colorado and forgot how brutal the alitutude can be. When he sees some guy in the second row texting and he caled hinm out. He wanted to know what was so important, and was he on Tinder. It was funny and he got major boos from the audience. When the band got back into rock mode they knocked out "Dirty White Boy" and "Say You Will" bringing down the house. After band introductions, they launched into their very first first hit, "Feels Like the First Time." A wicked Guitar Solo led us to"Urgent" and then a a crazy Keyboard Solo and a phenominal Drum Solo led beautifully into one of my favorite songs..."Jukebox Hero!“
An encore of "I Want to Know What Love Is” included background vocals from local Pueblo students from Centennial High who got on stage with the band, where Kelly introduced them and said they were the future of music. The show ended on a high with "Hot Blooded."
All-in-All the show was a powerhouse of pile-driving vocals and charisma which drove the crowd
into a frenzy as soon as they hit the stage. The level of intensity never waned. Foreigner was
100% locked in with the audience and gave us a night to remember!
