Jake Owen was a highlight of the Colorado State Fair this year. When he walked on stage, the whole place came alive. His energy was on full blast from start to finish! The stage was set up to mimic a beach, complete with palm trees and a tiki bar. It was the perfect setting for his first song "Beachin'", and just like a wave he captured his audience and never let go. The beach party had begun!
He engaged the audience throughout the entire show.
At one point he left the stage to walk, sing and take a few selfies among the stands with the fans. While singing "Alone With You" he breaks into Happy Birthday for a young woman who was celebrating her 18th birthday. He invited her and all her guest to come up to the tiki bar for the show and believe it or not Jake was just getting the party started.
His setlist included; "Beachin'", "Anywhere With You", "1972", "Yee Haw", ""Alone With You, his lastest release "Real Life", "Days Of Gold", "The One That Got Away" and a few covers just to name a few.
Halfway through the show he slows it down for not only my favorite song but according to Jake it's his all time favorite song as well..."What We Ain't Got". It becomes a moment that feels like an emotional explosion. It was incredibly beautiful.
To round out the show his encore was one not to be forgotten. It started with a rousing rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" in which the patriotism of the audience had them standing on their feet. Heading straight into a cover of Van Halen's "Jump" and last but not least "Barefoot Blue Jean Night". What a way to end a show!
All in all Jake Owen is the perfect entertainer. He interacts with the audience, sings fantastic, gives a high energy show, and as an added bonus ladies, he's easy on the eyes! He made sure to put a smile on every fans face and you just can't help but love every minute of a Jake Owen show. Personally I think
Jake and his band are just cool dudes doing their thing!
