Over The Top!
The hotly anticipated Global Warming Tour was a standout - like a time machine where nothing ever changes. For a band thats been around as long as Aerosmith they're still a genuine shit-kicking rock & roll band who plays with awe-inspiring energy. Steven Tyler flaunted his unique style and undeniable swagger to a full house, while Joe Perry's performances proved that he still deserves Guitar-God status. From the first flicker of light you knew Aerosmith was in the house. They fill the arena and all is rock and roll.
Still a heavy hitting act, Aerosmith carried the crowd with such ease. They delighted fans with mesmerizing guitar grooves, rich vocals and a setlist of outstanding tunes including: Draw the Line, Love in an Elevator, Same Old Song and Dance, Living on the Edge, Last Child, Rag Doll, Peter Gunn Theme, Stop Messin’ Around, What It Takes, Legendary Child, a rousing rendition of Come Together, Rats in the Cellar, Sweet Emotion and Walk This Way. The drummer Joey Kramer, bashes out the beats with an incredbile drum solo with Tyler eventually lending a helping hand, bringing the crowd to their feet.
Aerosmith delivered on all its hits, concluding the encore and the show with “Dream on" and then a dazzling display of foil confetti for the final song - "Train Kept A Rollin" - with standing ovations for both. The crowd roared when in a sea of smoke Tyler came out of the floor at the end of the runway sitting at a white piano. Ever so gently he began to play Dream On. I swear that song was the "OUR SONG" of everyone in the audience since the entire stadium euphorically screamed along to every word. Finishing the song on top of the piano, Tyler's voice was strong and passionate that bounced off the walls.
He is force of nature who was on fire through the whole show. He and Joe Perry create a magic on the stage; together they are the definition of talent and entertainment!
In short Steven Tyler is a consummate showman who brought an energy and exuberance to his performance and proved he can still play the Rock-God to a T! The Global Warming Tour makes it obvious why the band that's sold over 150 million records world wide is still in shape when it comes to performing live. The entire band - Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer were in the zone and never settled for anything other than the absolute best.
Don't pass up an opportunity to see Aerosmith live. This high-octane show is a sure-fire hit. If you like stadium rock you should know this is the best there is. It is definitely a must-see show and if you do see it... No doubt you too will be saying "OMG...Oh What A Show!"
