As Selena Gomez rose above the stage under the glow of a vintage lighting scheme, the vigor of the crowd burst into wild screams and thunderous applause - Selena Gomez & The Scene had arrived! Looking every bit the Pop Star she delivered a dazzling concert to a sold out crowd.
For someone so young she showed an incredible display of showmanship and talent.
Selena is a humble and gracious performer with unbelievable stage presence. She has a sincere desire to reach out to her fan base - mostly young teens and tweens - and send them a positive message about believing in your dreams and being respectful of others. And she did a wonderful job.
The kids were hooked from the start.
There were three costumes changes, special effects and jumbo screens. She gave a lot of endearing shout outs to the audience and even payed tribute to one of her favorite influences... Britney Spears.
With some well choreographed dance moves Selena and her dancers moved about the stage with ease, resulting in entertainment. She is confident and compelling. Selena moves with her own music just like liquid and doesn't miss a beat! She played a fast and furious set with barely any songs to slow it down.
OH WHAT A SHOW!
Quite simply, Selena delivered terrific performances of a hit-packed setlist in a successful attempt to give ticket buyers their money's worth. Very impressive stuff all around. She put on an outstanding show for such a young performer. I think she really has a bright career ahead of her.
Among the songs for the night were:
Who Says, Magic, We Own The Night, Whiplash, Middle Of No Where, My Dilemma, Love You Like A Love Song, A Year Without Rain, A Tribute to Britney Spears and many more.
Selena Gomez is one of this years hottest teen idols. Her singing was wonderful, her dancing was energetic, and her personality sparkled. She made the whole audience feel like friends. For all the thousands of kids out there it certainly was an "OH WHAT A SHOW" performance. If you have teens or tweens then this is the show to see!
